Actress Ronke Odusanya Claims Friend’s False Allegations Led to Marriage Breakdown

Renowned Nollywood actress Ronke Odusanya has spoken out for the first time about the circumstances surrounding her separation from Saheed Olarewaju, popularly known as Jago. During an interview on Wasila Coded TV with actress Bimpe Akintunde, Odusanya opened up about the role a friend’s false claims allegedly played in ending her marriage.

Odusanya shared that her friend had reportedly misled Jago by accusing her of unfaithful behavior, including claims of an affair with a senator and intentions to leave the marriage for prostitution.

“My friend told my partner I planned to leave him and become a prostitute. She even said I went to stay overnight at a senator’s residence with our daughter, Fife. I was shocked when he confronted me with these allegations,” she disclosed.

Odusanya explained that the accusations put significant strain on her relationship with Jago. However, she managed to provide proof of her innocence, including a timestamped video of her whereabouts, helping to discredit the allegations.

“God helped me because I had recorded a video with the date and time on my phone. I made the recording when we arrived at our lodging,” she recounted.

Looking back on that challenging time, Odusanya revealed the financial difficulties she faced after the split, with her account nearly empty and most of her valuables gone.

“When we left, I had less than N10,000 in my account. I had nothing left—my jewelry was taken, and I felt faint with the shock. I had no idea where to begin again. I cried hard that day, uncertain about how to secure a place to live,” she shared.
