Amazon’s popular $25 flight offer has returned, now available through a partnership with the discounted travel platform, StudentUniverse. This limited-time promotion is exclusively for Prime Young Adults members aged 18-24 and runs until December 13.
Carmen Nestares, Amazon’s VP of U.S. Prime and Marketing Tech, shared, “The holidays are a time to be with loved ones and create memories. We’re excited to help make travel more affordable for young adults looking to spend this special time with family and friends.”
The promotion offers 5,000 tickets, with 1,000 available each day starting at 1 p.m. ET. These tickets are valid for domestic flights within the U.S. between December 9, 2024, and January 14, 2025, according to Amazon.
While the $25 covers the flight fare, travelers will still need to pay for additional costs such as baggage fees, insurance, car rentals, and accommodation. The deal is only applicable for basic economy and main cabin seats, excluding premium, business, and first-class options.
Holiday travel can be expensive, especially for young adults on a budget. A recent survey showed that 66% of Gen Z expects to incur debt over the holidays, with a significant portion of that spending directed toward travel.
For those who are not Prime members, Amazon is offering a six-month free trial of the Prime Young Adults membership through Grubhub. After the trial period, the membership costs $7.49 per month or $69 annually.
This flight deal follows Amazon’s record-breaking performance during Black Friday and Cyber Monday, which the company touted as its “biggest holiday shopping event ever,” with impressive sales figures and a record number of items sold.
