- Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has reportedly been evicted from her Lagos residence due to unpaid rent accumulating for more than two years.
- The eviction took place on October 11th, 2024, according to reports, with videos surfacing online showing her belongings being removed from the home by several men.
Instagram gossip blogger Cutie Julls shared details of the incident, revealing that the eviction occurred earlier today, accompanied by video footage of Angela’s belongings being moved out. This development has come as a shock to many, especially after the actress had previously claimed to have purchased a luxurious home in Lagos.
It is further alleged that sources close to the landlord disclosed that Angela had been avoiding rent payments for over a year, consistently dodging interactions with her landlord whenever payment was due.
There were also reports that some rooms in the apartment were said to resemble a “drug den,” raising further concerns about the activities going on inside the home. Despite multiple eviction notices and rent reminders, Angela allegedly responded with threats, warning the landlord not to approach the property. However, the landlord was able to proceed with the eviction with the help of local authorities.
Cutie Julls mentioned that attempts are being made to reach Angela’s team for comments on how she is dealing with the situation.
The report reads:
“Actress Angela Okorie has been evicted from her Lagos home after failing to pay rent for over two years. Despite previous claims of owning a home, the eviction took place this morning after the actress allegedly avoided rent payments and threatened the landlord. Authorities were involved in carrying out the eviction.”
