Anthony Joshua Rules Out Retirement Following Defeat by Dubois
British boxer Anthony Joshua has dismissed any speculation of retirement after his unexpected loss to Daniel Dubois on Saturday.
Despite being knocked out in the fifth round at Wembley, Joshua has affirmed that he has no plans to leave the sport.
Dubois largely controlled the bout, sending Joshua to the mat in all but one round, before sealing his win with a decisive counter right hand. This marks the fourth defeat of Joshua’s professional career.
When asked about his future in the sport, Joshua stated at the post-fight press conference: “I’m sure you’re wondering if I plan to keep fighting – of course, I do.”
He continued, “I’m a warrior, and before we wrap up, credit must go to my opponent, Daniel.”
