Arda Güler delivered the decisive goal in Turkey’s thrilling 4-2 win over Iceland in the UEFA Nations League on Tuesday. The 18-year-old Real Madrid midfielder was instrumental throughout the match, playing 89 minutes and sealing the victory with a close-range goal in the 88th minute after Iceland’s defense fumbled.

Güler took a game-high six shots, one of which resulted in the winning goal. He was heavily involved in Turkey’s attack, completing two dribbles and having 70 touches. His distribution was equally impressive, achieving a 91.3% passing accuracy from 46 attempts, including three accurate long balls. Partnering with Kenan Yildiz, Güler was the creative force behind Turkey’s forward play.

Despite focusing primarily on offense, Güler contributed defensively with a blocked shot and solid tracking back. His performance was crucial in helping Turkey maintain their lead at the top of their group with 10 points from four matches.

Notably, Güler ended the international break without any injuries, which comes as a relief for Real Madrid ahead of their upcoming fixtures.
