Music executive Suge Knight has alleged that Ben Affleck ended his marriage with Jennifer Lopez after receiving footage from the FBI of Lopez during her past relationship with Sean “Diddy” Combs. Combs, who has been accused of emotional, physical, and sexual abuse, dated Lopez between 1999 and 2001.
The 54-year-old Combs was arrested by the Department of Homeland Security on September 16 and faces charges related to human trafficking and racketeering in New York City. He has been denied bond on multiple occasions. More than 120 individuals have come forward with claims of abuse, including rape and coercion, though Combs has pleaded not guilty in a US District Court.
There are reports that Combs was abusive to his ex-partners, including Cassie Ventura, with video evidence allegedly showing him assaulting her. This has raised concerns about Lopez, who had a high-profile relationship with Combs during the late ’90s and early 2000s. According to Knight, footage of Lopez and Combs may have played a role in the collapse of her marriage to Affleck.
“They raided Puffy’s house and found all these videos of J. Lo,” Knight, the former Death Row Records CEO, claimed in a press statement. “I’m sure someone showed Affleck the tapes. He had a good life, and maybe after seeing all of this, he wanted out.”

Combs’ homes in Florida and California were raided in March 2024, and Lopez later filed for divorce, stating the couple had separated on April 26. However, sources suggest that their marriage had been strained throughout 2023.
Speculation about their troubles became public during the 2023 Grammy Awards, where Affleck’s visibly downcast appearance contrasted with Lopez’s more outgoing demeanor. Affleck, who is known for his discomfort with public events, appeared disengaged, fueling rumors that all was not well between the couple behind the scenes.
