‘Blade’ Movie Actor Kris Kristofferson Dies at 88
Grammy Award-winning country artist and actor Kris Kristofferson, best known for his memorable roles in film and television, has passed away at the age of 88. Kristofferson, who gained widespread recognition for his role in the Blade movie franchise, died peacefully at his home in Maui on September 28, surrounded by family.
In a statement, his family shared: “With heavy hearts, we announce that our beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away peacefully at home on September 28. We are grateful for the time we had with him. Thank you to everyone who loved him. When you see a rainbow, know he’s smiling down on us.”
Kristofferson portrayed Abraham Whistler, a veteran vampire hunter and mentor to Wesley Snipes’ character in the Blade series, adding a gritty and iconic presence to the films.
Apart from his acting career, Kristofferson was a highly acclaimed musician and singer-songwriter, earning three Grammy Awards during his illustrious career.
