Chidinma Adetshina Crowned Miss Universe Nigeria 2024

Chidinma Adetshina, a 23-year-old who previously withdrew from the Miss South Africa 2024 pageant amid a social media controversy over her nationality, has been crowned Miss Universe Nigeria 2024.

Representing Taraba State, Chidinma outshone four other finalists—Miss Rivers State, Miss Anambra State, Miss Ondo State, and Miss Edo State—to claim the coveted title.

Chidinma will represent Nigeria at the Miss Universe pageant in Mexico this November. Meanwhile, the first runner-up, Miss Anambra, will participate in the Miss Supranational pageant.

As the winner, Chidinma takes home a grand prize of N10 million.

In her acceptance speech, the new beauty queen described the crown as a call to action.
