Video: Church in Abuja Shut Down After Dispute Over Gay Marriages
A church in Abuja, known as “The United Church of Nigeria,” has been shut down by the government following a significant dispute. According to reports from Very Dark Man (VDM), the conflict arose after the church’s headquarters, located outside Nigeria, authorized the Nigerian branch to bless gay marriages.
This directive led to a disagreement between the church’s Bishop and some members. The Bishop, opposed to the idea, proposed changing the church’s name to “Global Methodist Church” instead. However, this suggestion was met with resistance, resulting in a physical altercation among the members.
Police intervened in the situation to prevent further violence, leading to the church’s closure. The authorities locked the premises to maintain peace and prevent any further escalation.
