The Lagos State Government, through the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA), has sealed off “Donald’s,” a popular restaurant owned by Cubana Chief Priest in Lekki Phase 1, citing persistent noise pollution and environmental violations. The restaurant, which also operates as a night club, has reportedly drawn complaints from neighbors, one of whom secretly recorded the noise and sent the evidence to authorities.

Sources suggest that the environmental infraction stems from the fact that the establishment was approved as a restaurant but has been operating as a nightclub in a residential area. According to Commissioner Tokunbo Wahaba, multiple warnings were issued to the restaurant’s management, but they failed to comply, leading to the sealing.

It is important to note that Cubana Chief Priest, whose real name is Pascal Okechukwu, is often confused with Obi Cubana, the well-known billionaire. Pascal has previously faced legal issues, including charges for Naira abuse and allegations of threatening food critic Opeyemi Famakin in Imo State over a poor review of his Owerri restaurant.

As of now, Cubana Chief Priest has not responded to the closure, but some of his fans claim he is being unfairly targeted.
