Chelsea extended their unbeaten run to five games with a commanding 3-1 victory over FC Twente in the Netherlands. Spectacular long-range strikes from Aggie Beever-Jones and Maika Hamano set the tone for the evening, while Guro Reiten added a third from the penalty spot.
The Blues took control early, with Beever-Jones opening the scoring in the 7th minute. Her shot from the edge of the box deflected off Twente’s Lieske Carleer, looping over goalkeeper Olivia Clark to give Chelsea an early advantage. Moments later, Hamano doubled the lead in spectacular fashion, lobbing Clark from nearly 35 yards out after spotting her off the line, delivering what could be Chelsea’s best goal of the season.
Chelsea continued to dominate possession and territory, and after a sustained period of pressure, Reiten slotted home a penalty in the 63rd minute following Mayra Ramirez’s skilful play to win the spot-kick. Reiten’s goal marked her 50th for the club.
Despite a brief response from Twente, with Nikee van Dijk pulling one back in the 68th minute, Chelsea remained in control to seal the win and move to the top of Group B.
