Additionally, there are openings for assistant manager and deputy manager positions in legal, as well as senior manager and assistant director roles in tax (audit).
Applicants must meet specific qualifications and professional certifications for the roles they are applying for, as outlined in the job descriptions.
The agency’s requirements include:

- Applicants for assistant manager and deputy manager positions should not exceed 40 years of age, while those applying for senior manager and assistant director roles should not be older than 45 years as of December 31, 2024.
FIRS emphasized that candidates should demonstrate strong leadership and management abilities, a collaborative team spirit, and effective delegation and communication skills. In addition, strong analytical capabilities are essential.
Candidates should also possess knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and understand their application, as well as familiarity with the regulatory environment in which FIRS operates.
Applicants are expected to work as regulators and ensure full compliance with relevant laws.
Interested candidates can submit their applications through the FIRS career portal at careers.firs.gov.ng or via the official FIRS social media pages.
The application portal will be open from December 23, 2024, until January 11, 2025. The service encourages applicants to carefully review the eligibility requirements to ensure they meet all qualifications.
Earlier in November, FIRS also opened its portal for the recruitment of tax officers, with vacancies for officer one and officer two positions in eight states, including Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, Imo, Ekiti, Lagos, and Oyo.
