A Russian air strike on Kyiv overnight has left four people dead, according to local authorities.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko confirmed that air defenses were active around the Ukrainian capital during the attack.
The Shevchenkivskyi district experienced significant damage, including shattered windows at a metro station and a fire in a non-residential building, he said. However, the intended target of the strike remains unclear.
Authorities also issued warnings of a potential ballistic missile threat, urging residents to seek shelter immediately.
Footage shared on social media captured dramatic scenes of a car engulfed in flames and water flooding a nearby street.
This marks the second deadly assault on Kyiv this month, underscoring the ongoing threat faced by the city and its residents.
