Galatasaray Triumphs in Transfer Battle for Victor Osimhen

Victor Osimhen has successfully completed a season-long loan move to Turkish giants Galatasaray, marking the end of a protracted transfer battle with his former club, Napoli. The move has been widely celebrated, with Osimhen finally achieving his desired outcome.

Osimhen’s new contract with Galatasaray has lifted the previous obligations he had with Napoli, freeing him from the constraints that had kept potential suitors at bay. A key sticking point in his Napoli contract—the high release clause—has been adjusted, dropping from €130 million to a more realistic €75 million. This adjustment played a significant role in making the transfer possible.

Negotiations with Galatasaray faced delays, primarily due to Napoli’s reluctance to allow Osimhen to leave in January while on loan in Turkey. However, Osimhen persisted, and in the end, he secured the deal he wanted, effectively removing himself from Napoli’s control.
