Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank) has issued an apology to its customers following delays in transaction processing caused by its recent system upgrade. The bank acknowledged the disruptions and expressed gratitude for customers’ patience and support during the transition.
In a public statement released on Wednesday, GTBank explained that the upgrade to the new Finacle Suite of Core Banking Applications was aimed at improving agility and service experience. However, the implementation process led to technical challenges, impacting customers’ personal and business activities.
GTBank assured customers that the technical issues have been resolved, and normal operations have resumed.
Excerpt from GTBank’s message:
“Your trust is the foundation on which we stand, and your patience and support during this transition have been extraordinary. The process, though necessary, caused delays in transaction processing and interruptions to seamless service, for which we sincerely apologize. Thank you for believing in us and allowing us the privilege of continuing to serve you.”
The bank reaffirmed its commitment to delivering superior service and ensuring that future operations meet the highest standards.
