A stunning second-half performance from Harry Kane, who scored a hat-trick, propelled Bayern Munich to a convincing 4-0 victory over Stuttgart on Saturday, restoring them to the top of the Bundesliga. This win came just after RB Leipzig briefly overtook them with a 2-0 win at Mainz earlier in the day.
Kane entered the match on a goal drought, having failed to find the net in his last four appearances for club and country, his longest spell without a goal since joining Bayern. However, he quickly turned things around, breaking the deadlock in the 57th minute with a long-range shot that dribbled past Stuttgart goalkeeper Alexander Nuebel.
Just three minutes later, Kane doubled the lead, skillfully navigating a crowded penalty area to clip the ball home. He completed his hat-trick in the 80th minute, capitalizing on a loose ball to score his 57th goal for Bayern in all competitions and securing his sixth hat-trick for the club.
Kingsley Coman capped off the impressive performance by scoring in the final minute, sealing the 4-0 victory for the Bavarians.
Earlier in the day, RB Leipzig maintained their unbeaten start to the season with goals from Xavi Simons and captain Willi Orban, who secured a 2-0 victory against Mainz ahead of their upcoming Champions League clash with Liverpool. Simons opened the scoring with a brilliant solo effort in the 20th minute, and Orban extended the lead by tapping in a rebound from a Lois Openda cross.
Orban expressed satisfaction with the performance, saying, “We could have finished things off earlier but we’re happy with the win.”

In another exciting match, Bayer Leverkusen defeated Eintracht Frankfurt 2-1 at home, with Victor Boniface scoring the decisive goal in the 72nd minute. Leverkusen initially struggled with a missed penalty from Boniface, but quickly recovered as Robert Andrich netted an equalizer after Omar Marmoush put Frankfurt ahead. Boniface later redeemed himself with a header from a deflected cross, securing the win for Leverkusen.
Andrich, reflecting on the game, stated, “We were focused and played good football. And there was a nice goal from me,” adding that he enjoyed every moment on the pitch.
Freiburg also continued their strong form, achieving a 3-1 victory over Augsburg, with Vincenzo Grifo, Philipp Lienhart, and Christian Guenter scoring in the first half. Phillip Tietz managed to pull one back for Augsburg in the second half.
Borussia Moenchengladbach’s Tim Kleindienst shone in a 3-2 victory against his former club Heidenheim, scoring twice shortly after making his Germany debut.
Finally, Hoffenheim secured their first victory since the season opener, defeating Bochum 3-1, leaving the latter at the bottom of the league with just one point from seven games.
