Solicitors representing Master Vershima Mker and Miss Lami Jennifer Iorvihi have called for the immediate dismissal of Major General G.S. Mohammed and Corporal A. Abubakar, following allegations of assault and mistreatment of their clients. The legal team is also demanding compensation of N150 million for the injuries, abuse, and unlawful detention inflicted on the two university graduates.

According to the statement, the incident occurred while Master Mker and Miss Iorvihi were in Gwarinpa, preparing for their upcoming wedding. The pair were visiting relatives and potential guests when they were allegedly confronted by Major General Mohammed’s convoy. The convoy, reportedly driving with sirens blaring, forced their way onto the crowded 3rd Avenue in Gwarinpa, where the assault took place.

The solicitors assert that the victims were beaten, verbally abused, and detained without cause by the police, despite having committed no crime. The legal representatives have vowed to pursue justice for the two individuals, demanding accountability for those responsible.
