Nigerian skit maker and actor, Mr. Macaroni, has voiced his disapproval over children reenacting his adult-themed “Daddy Wa” skits in a viral video. The video showed young content creators dressed in adult-like attire, portraying characters from Mr. Macaroni’s famous “sugar daddy” roles alongside other adult-themed characters.
In response, Mr. Macaroni took to X (formerly Twitter) to express concern and caution parents and guardians about allowing children to mimic adult content. He stressed the importance of showcasing children’s talents in age-appropriate ways.
Mr. Macaroni wrote, “Dear parents and guardians, I understand the urge to want to make the most out of our uniquely talented children. However, I strongly believe that we must apply caution while doing so. We must showcase their talents in ways appropriate for their respective ages.”
He emphasized that focusing on short viral moments could hinder the long-term development of children’s talents. Instead, he called for parents to groom children at a suitable pace and allow them to explore creative freedom as they mature. His message underscored the responsibility of guiding young talents to ensure a lasting impact on society.
