Netanyahu Takes Shelter Amid Air Raid Sirens
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was forced to evacuate his Caesarea residence and seek shelter after air raid sirens went off, according to a report by Israel’s Walla news outlet.
The alert came as Hezbollah escalated its operations in northern occupied Palestine, intensifying strikes against Israeli forces. The group stated that these actions were a counter-response to Israeli efforts to support Gaza, while also aiming to protect Lebanon and its civilians from what it described as Israeli aggression across multiple locations.
From early morning, sirens were heard in several areas, including Margaliot, Misgav Am, Hanita, Haifa, Krayot, Acre, Nahariyya, the Beit She’an Valley, Gesher, and Menahemia. Israeli media reported scenes of “chaos in the skies” over Haifa and Krayot, following a barrage of rockets launched from Lebanon.
It was also reported that Netanyahu, along with several ministers, sought refuge in a fortified underground location in Jerusalem amid the Iranian-led attack on Israel. Defence Minister Yoav Gallant similarly took cover in a secure underground facility at the Ministry of Defense in Tel Aviv.
