The Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Yushau Ahmed, has urged corps members and staff to deepen their dedication to national unity and development as the organization sets ambitious goals for 2025.
In his New Year message, Brigadier General Ahmed praised the successes achieved in 2024, attributing them to the hard work and resilience of NYSC personnel. “I sincerely appreciate your unwavering commitment to duty across various locations, which led to the remarkable achievements recorded last year,” he said.
Looking ahead, he expressed confidence in achieving even greater milestones in 2025. “This year holds the promise of greater achievements as we expand our contributions to critical sectors of the national economy,” he noted.
The Director General called on all stakeholders to intensify their efforts in achieving the Scheme’s mandate. “Let us collectively enhance the implementation of our goals to foster unity, integration, and development across the nation,” he emphasized.
Brigadier General Ahmed reaffirmed the importance of the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) program, committing to securing additional resources and opportunities for corps members. “We will strengthen collaborations with stakeholders to improve facilities and opportunities within the SAED programs,” he pledged, urging corps members to fully utilize these initiatives for personal and professional growth.
He also acknowledged the ongoing support of partner agencies and stakeholders, stating, “Your invaluable contributions have been instrumental, and we are committed to deepening our partnerships in 2025.”
In conclusion, the Director General assured Nigerians that the NYSC would continue to prioritize service and national progress. “We are determined to build on our achievements and ensure the Scheme remains a cornerstone of national development as we look forward to a prosperous 2025,” he declared.
