The newly appointed Rector of Federal Polytechnic Oko, Dr. Chioma Irene Awuzie, has outlined a 12-point agenda aimed at transforming the institution.
Dr. Awuzie, a seasoned educationist and administrator, brings a wealth of experience in teaching, research, and leadership. Her appointment by the Federal Government is expected to introduce fresh perspectives and innovative strategies to the polytechnic.
In her inaugural speech, she emphasized a vision centered on innovation, entrepreneurship, and skills development. She highlighted the need to integrate more technology-driven programs that would equip students with both practical skills and intellectual capabilities.
During her departmental visits, Dr. Awuzie also pledged to enhance campus infrastructure by improving security measures and providing alternative power supply across the institution’s three campuses, ensuring a more conducive learning environment.
