Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported an escalation in Russia’s offensive, revealing that over 900 bombs and 30 missiles were used against Ukraine in a single week, with more than 50 drones launched in just one night.

In a post on his social media account on Sunday, Zelensky detailed the extent of the recent attacks, noting that Russian forces have bombarded various regions with an arsenal that includes hundreds of explosive drones, missiles, and bombs. He highlighted that most of the strikes have targeted both civilian and critical infrastructure, causing significant damage across the country.

According to Zelensky, these aggressive attacks are only possible due to the limited international support Ukraine has received, particularly in terms of long-range defense systems. “All these attacks would have been impossible if we had sufficient support from the world in crucial areas, especially long-range security capabilities,” he stated.

Zelensky emphasized the need for stronger sanctions against Russia to cut off its access to key materials used in drone and missile production, such as microelectronics. He also called for political measures aimed at undermining Russia’s resolve to continue the war. “Effective sanctions are needed to prevent Russia from importing critical components for drone and missile production,” Zelensky said, adding that Ukraine deserves the same level of security as its allies in the free world.

The latest developments come amid a continuous intensification of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. Zelensky has consistently urged NATO to consider Ukraine for membership, arguing that Russia must be defeated to restore peace and stability.
