First Bank of Nigeria (FBN) will host the inaugural China-Africa Interbank Association (CAIBA) forum in Nigeria, slated for November 27 at the Fraiser Suites in Abuja. The forum aims to deepen financial, trade, and investment ties between China and Africa, spotlighting Nigeria’s strategic role in these partnerships.
Themed “Joining Hands to Advance Modernisation and Strengthening China-Africa Trade, Industrialisation and Economic Diversification”, the event will focus on leveraging collaboration to address Africa’s funding needs for industrialisation, infrastructure, and poverty alleviation.

- CAIBA Background: Established in 2018, CAIBA fosters financial cooperation among its 16 member banks, including FirstBank, China Development Bank (CDB), Ecobank, and the Development Bank of South Africa.
