Vice President Kashim Shettima has assured Nigerians that the beneficial effects of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s policies will start to materialize in the coming weeks and months.
Speaking during a New Year visit to President Tinubu at his Lagos residence, Shettima expressed confidence in Nigeria’s economic recovery and a brighter future for its citizens.
He highlighted that the nation’s economy is already showing promising signs of improvement, while the government collaborates with the National Assembly to address critical challenges through comprehensive solutions.
Shettima acknowledged global economic challenges, such as the Ukraine crisis, which have impacted many nations, but noted that Nigeria is navigating these difficulties through strategic policies and resilience.
The Vice President reiterated the government’s commitment to fostering sustained economic growth and prosperity for all Nigerians. He projected that 2025 would usher in significant economic activities and improvements in the quality of life for citizens.
Reaffirming the administration’s dedication to national development, Shettima urged Nigerians to remain hopeful, emphasizing that the government is determined to fulfill its promises and create a future of shared prosperity.
“I am very optimistic about the future. We have turned the corner, and by God’s grace, 2025 will be a year of robust economic activities. I believe Nigerians will thrive,” Shettima stated.
He added, “The economy has begun to recover, and in the coming weeks and months, Nigerians will witness tangible improvements. We are working closely with the National Assembly to implement solutions to our national challenges.
“No country is immune to global economic pressures. The Ukraine crisis and other global trends have affected us, but we remain resolute. I assure Nigerians that our economy is on the path to sustained growth. We have crossed the Rubicon, and brighter days are ahead.”
