TG Omori Discloses Failed Kidney Transplant Experience

Renowned cinematographer and music video director, ThankGod Omori, widely known as TG Omori, has revealed that he recently underwent an unsuccessful kidney transplant. The procedure followed his brother’s donation to help address his kidney issues.

Omori shared this news on Wednesday, shortly after hinting at the severe challenges he’s currently facing, asking Nigerians to keep him in their prayers.

He stated, “A year after my kidney failed, I just had an unsuccessful transplant at St. Nicolas Hospital in Lagos. Please pray for me.”

He also mentioned that he had already undergone surgery three times and that he believes it’s not his time to die yet.

Earlier reports from The PUNCH highlighted Omori’s account of his brother’s kidney donation, where he said, “Yesterday, my only brother gave me one of his kidneys so I could live again. Please keep my spirit alive; I don’t want to die.”

The music director, who has been out of the public eye for a while, shared a photo of himself in a hospital bed, receiving oxygen, while tears streamed down his face. Before this recent transplant, he had been posting cryptic messages about his health on social media.

Last month, Omori wrote on his X account, “If I ever cross your mind, please say a prayer for me. Poor marijuana, you get blamed for all my troubles. You want to eat, but I just want to live.”

These revelations have sparked concern among his fans, with many offering words of support and prayers for his recovery.

Another user, tweeting anonymously under the handle #Ikorodu President, said, “If you had told me, I would have gladly given you one of my kidneys so you could live.”
