Katsina-based activist and APC chieftain, Hajia Zainab Saida, has declared that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu merits a second term due to the significant strides he has made through bold economic, social, and political policies.
Speaking with The Nation, Saida, who is also the founder of the Neighborhood Committee Network (NCN)—a grassroots initiative promoting collaborative governance, social cohesion, and sustainability—praised Tinubu’s leadership while dismissing his critics as envious of his achievements.
She remarked, “Nigerians should be more patient. I believe Tinubu’s leadership has good intentions. They should ignore the Kwankwasos, Peter Obis, and Atikus of this world, who are still mourning their past political losses. We in Katsina will vote for Tinubu and Dikko Radda again come 2027.”
Saida emphasized that while some of Tinubu’s policies may take time to yield visible results, they lay a solid foundation for long-term national development.
“Tinubu’s policies may not crystallize quickly, but with time, some of them will bear fruit, possibly even beyond the lifespan of this administration,” she explained. “The whole concept of life itself is a marathon, not a hundred-meter dash. Economic reforms, wherever they are, take time.”
The activist also praised Tinubu’s decision to grant autonomy to local governments, noting that the direct funding of councils, set to begin this month, will significantly alleviate poverty at the grassroots level.
“Improved security and the local refining of petroleum products are additional steps that will help curb inflation and strengthen the ongoing economic reforms,” Saida added.
Her remarks reflect growing support for Tinubu’s administration among party loyalists in Katsina, with many highlighting his efforts to prioritize grassroots development and long-term economic stability.
