President Bola Tinubu has returned to Nigeria following a two-week working vacation in the United Kingdom and Paris, France. He landed at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja around 7:20 p.m. on Saturday evening.
The President was welcomed back by senior members of his administration, including Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Chief of Staff to the President Femi Gbajabiamila, Minister of Finance Wale Edun, Minister of Budget and Economic Planning Abubakar Bagudu, National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, and National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Abdullahi Ganduje.
President Tinubu had departed Abuja for the vacation on October 2, as part of his annual leave. His Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, previously announced that the trip would serve as both a working vacation and a retreat to reflect on his administration’s economic reforms.
During his time away, the President also traveled from the UK to Paris on October 11 for an important engagement, according to Ibrahim Kabir Masari, his Senior Special Assistant on Political and Other Matters.
With his return, President Tinubu is expected to resume his duties and continue implementing policies aimed at economic reform in Nigeria.
