Truck Nearly Catches Fire in Alekunwodo, Osogbo

A potential fire disaster was averted earlier today around 1:56 PM when a truck passing through the Alekunwodo area in Osogbo nearly caught fire. Fortunately, firefighters arrived in time to prevent the flames from spreading.

According to witnesses, the truck driver had been warned not to take that route due to low-hanging electric wires, but he insisted. As the truck passed, it made contact with the wires, causing sparks and smoke, with small flames appearing on the vehicle. Locals quickly intervened, stopping traffic and blocking the road until firefighters arrived to control the situation.

Alert locals quickly acted by stopping cars and motorcyclists from passing through the area, effectively blocking the road until the firefighters arrived and brought the situation under control.

Thankfully, no lives were lost, and the fire was successfully extinguished, thanks to the timely response of the firefighters.
