President-elect Donald Trump celebrated his election victory in style at UFC 309 in New York’s Madison Square Garden, joined by high-profile figures such as Tesla CEO Elon Musk and several key members of his incoming cabinet.
Trump made a grand entrance to loud cheers and chants of “USA” from the crowd, waving to fans as he walked toward the octagon. Sitting ringside with UFC President Dana White and Musk, the president-elect soaked in the applause while the arena played a tribute video marking his victory over Vice President Kamala Harris.
Star-Studded Gathering
Among those in attendance were Robert F. Kennedy Jr., nominated for a top cabinet role, Tulsi Gabbard, a key figure in Trump’s new administration, and Vivek Ramaswamy, tapped to head the innovative “Department of Government Efficiency,” a position Musk will reportedly collaborate on.
Podcaster and UFC commentator Joe Rogan, who endorsed Trump after hosting him on his popular show during the campaign, also greeted the president-elect warmly.
Jon Jones Dedicates Win to Trump
After retaining his heavyweight title, UFC star Jon Jones personally thanked Trump, presenting him with his championship belt in a symbolic gesture.
“I want to say a big thank you to President Donald Trump for being here tonight,” Jones told the crowd, which erupted in applause.
Trump, a long-time supporter of the UFC, was visibly energized by the event. White, a staunch ally, has frequently praised Trump, even delivering a speech at the Republican National Convention earlier this year.
“I’m in the tough guy business, and this man is the toughest, most resilient human being I have ever met,” White said of Trump.
The celebratory atmosphere underscored Trump’s strong connection with UFC fans, many of whom have welcomed him enthusiastically over the years, cementing his ties with the sport and its audience as he prepares for a second term in the White House.
