Social media influencer Verydarkman has apologized to the Nigerian Police Force after being questioned over a recent video in which he wore a police-style uniform and referred to himself as “CSP of the online division.”
Following his release, Verydarkman shared details of the experience, describing it as a “back and forth” process with authorities. He stated that he was called in over concerns stemming from his post, which included him in attire resembling a police uniform. According to him, he initially used “CSP” to mean “Chief Social Personnel” in a humorous context, unaware that CSP is an actual rank in the Nigerian Police Force, representing “Chief Superintendent of Police.”
During the interrogation, he was informed that wearing a police uniform or using police insignia requires official authorization. Verydarkman expressed regret, stating that he had no intention of misrepresenting or disrespecting the police force, and emphasized his appreciation for their role in maintaining public safety. “Without them, there is no protection,” he concluded.
