Victor Osimhen Rejects Saudi Club’s Offer

Nigerian football star Victor Osimhen, who plays for Napoli, has turned down an offer from Saudi Arabian club Al Ahli.

Osimhen had signed a new contract with Napoli in December 2023, which included a release clause of €130 million. Despite this, no club has made an offer close to that amount. However, on Monday, football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed that Osimhen rejected the offer. Romano explained that the deal fell through because Osimhen insisted on a significant salary and a release clause in any potential contract.

Romano wrote: “Victor Osimhen is not accepting Al Ahli’s proposals as he required an important salary AND release clause. The release clause is crucial, or the deal will not happen at all, sources confirm.”

Osimhen has been training separately from his Napoli teammates this summer and is expected to transfer to another club before the end of the current transfer window.
