The reopening of the Warri Refining and Petrochemical Company (WRPC) stands as evidence of President Bola Tinubu’s dedication to revitalizing Nigeria’s economy.
This assertion was made by Olorogun Morrison Olori, a veteran politician and influential leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State.
Speaking from his Ughelli residence, Olori praised the President for implementing transformative policies designed to set Nigeria on a stable economic trajectory. He emphasized that the resumption of operations at the Warri Refinery demonstrates Tinubu’s ability to fulfill campaign promises and quieten critics.
Highlighting the development’s significance, Olori underscored its potential to revolutionize the energy sector and boost economic growth nationwide. He also noted that the refinery’s return to production would significantly enhance the socio-economic well-being of residents in Uvwie, Warri, and surrounding areas of Delta State.
Olori pointed out that with two of the nation’s four government-owned refineries—Warri and Port Harcourt—back in operation, alongside the support of the Dangote Refinery, the prices of fuel and food items are expected to decline.
The elder statesman commended Nigerians for electing Tinubu, stating that the President’s economic policies are delivering results at an impressive pace.
“I commend President Bola Tinubu and the NNPCL for restarting the Warri Refinery, which began producing petroleum products on Saturday. This follows the Port Harcourt Refinery’s recent resumption. As we close 2024 and step into 2025, this development brings optimism for better days ahead,” Olori remarked.
He continued, “Nigerians chose the right leader in President Tinubu. His bold economic decisions are yielding tangible results, even faster than anticipated. What this country has long needed is decisive leadership, and President Tinubu has shown he is prepared to take the necessary actions for the benefit of the masses. Witnessing this progress in my lifetime is truly gratifying. Thank you, Mr. President.”
Olori also applauded the efforts of Chief Festus Keyamo, SAN, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, in fostering unity within the Delta State APC. He praised Keyamo for promoting peace and supporting party members during the festive season.
The APC chieftain urged party leaders and members to remain united as they prepare to challenge the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in upcoming elections.
