Actor and Pastor Yul Edochie has strongly denounced domestic violence and urged individuals in unhealthy marriages to leave rather than stay in toxic relationships.
Edochie’s statement was prompted by the heartbreaking video of a woman who had been severely burned by her husband. In his message, he stressed that no situation ever justifies harming a partner.
“If your marriage isn’t working, it’s okay to let go. Walk away,” Edochie wrote. “The video of the woman burned by her husband truly shattered me. For those facing marital struggles, here’s a message: Even if you discover your wife with another man, there is no excuse for violence.”
He continued, “If you find your husband with another woman, there’s still no reason to harm him. Don’t take another person’s life over a marriage. Marriage is not a matter of life or death. Just walk away.”
This message serves as a powerful reminder to prioritize personal well-being and peace over staying in an abusive or damaging relationship.
